Where could I find a decent ant aspirator shipping to the US? Searching Amazon for pooter is interesting, but not very useful.

A nose sucker would work with a little modification I suppose.

@twizzt I don't know, but I'm glad I got one from BioQuip before they went out of business. I miss that store.

@ambulocetus @twizzt my vague memory of my bioquip antspirator tells me one should not be HARD to throw together.

vial, metal straw, tubing, rubber stopper with hole in it, little piece of fine wire mesh jammed into the right place

@barrygoldman1 @ambulocetus the tubing seems to be the hardest part to get right. It had to be soft yet not prone to kinks

@twizzt @ambulocetus yeah... i do remember it had a funky heavy squishy vibe. more rubber than plastic

@barrygoldman1 @ambulocetus yeah like slingshot tubes or something along that line maybe. That just might do it actually

@twizzt @ambulocetus @barrygoldman1 when I was a kid we made slingshots from surgical tubing, looks like it’s also called latex rubber tubing

Aquarium air lines might work too, they’re made from various kinds of plastic, some of them might be good. It’s a smaller diameter than surgical tubing, for better or worse

@twizzt @ambulocetus @barrygoldman1 there’s also various sizes of (food grade) vinyl tubing you can get from Amazon and elsewhere
