Inspired by an exchange between @StillIRise1963 and @ehren, this is a call for (short) stories about how you have coped with loved ones lost to #Trumpism #MAGA and #fascism. When your loved ones fell for #disinformation and lies, what did you do? Were you able to stay connected? Were you able to understand and address the underlying issues? Success stories of bringing people back from their alternate reality are especially welcome.

Cutting off all contact, blacklisting phone numbers, automatically putting eMails with their names directly into the spam folder…. All drastic measures, but all have saved my sanity.

@StillIRise1963 @yappari @ehren A mix of FB/YT/T-X and far-right political blogs with murky funding sources (i.e., troll farms). The irony is, my family watched a few of the Netflix documentaries on how social media algorithms were manipulating people, but didn't have the self awareness to see that it's happening to themselves when it was pointed out to them. It turns out that some people acquire a taste for the poison.
