@StillIRise1963 me too. I used to hate visiting my mom because we would just sit there and watch TV. The ads, the "news", the crappy shows. It would drive me crazy. It all sucks. I will never understand how people can watch that crap. I haven't had cable in 20 years. I got rid of it after they tried to force me to watch the Twin Towers falling over and over and over again.
@StillIRise1963 It was so blatant a way to drum up support for an unnecessary war. It was like aversion therapy to me. Luckily I've always been somebody with a lot of books.
@ambulocetus It was. I stopped watching news at that point myself. It was literally for mental health reasons. But, after they stopped that 9/11 shit, I went back to watching. That was my mistake. I stopped again when Trump got into office.
@ambulocetus That was a good time to stop. I was living in NYC and traumatized by watching that shit over and over again.
