The thing that drives me nutso about climate change is that many of the necessary changes could be awesome. A society with more leisure time, cleaner air, closer connections to friends and family who live nearer to you, more exercise, more technological innovation, more jobs, more fairness, more nature… most people would benefit from these changes.
@maxkennerly What those outlets and pundits don't realize is that when the Right is done using their complicity, they will use the fact of that complicity as a demonstration that they can't be trusted, and call them "Das Lugenpresse". I won't give them my money, my attention, or my clicks until they start doing the job they are supposed to do.

@rebeccawatson Like you said, greed and hubris. Ny favorite saying is relevant here. "If an honest person finds out he is wrong, he either ceases to be wrong or he ceases to be honest."
Did you hear about the young cow who left his family to live with the Buffalo?
His parents were upset, but as he was leaving they still said "Bison."
@idoubtit Time for Timer!
@Erik Yup, instead of buying a Bat-helicopter, he could have paid for a rec center for at risk youth.
