Yea, you didn't need my little story to know that gravity is really real, did you? Things that are really real don't need to keep reminding you that they are real. If there were many people who didn't believe in gravity, do you think that a huge bill-board saying "Gravity is real" would be a good way to get more people to believe in gravity? No, because gravity is real. Gravity is invisible and you can't smell it or taste it, but still it's easy to find evidence for it. If the only evidence that something exists is a bill-board or a little story, maybe that thing isn't really real.

@dangoodin I've been on Mastodon for a few years now, and they said the same thing back then. All of the media outlets denigrate Mastodon (if they even mention it at all) because they can't
buy ads or data mine. It's bigger than it ever was and getting bigger, but they still act like it's a tiny back-water. I like it here, and I will *never* go to Twitter.

Well, yes that will help. Unfortunately, there aren't many of those people here. They don't take Mastodon seriously because it's not about making money. It could be ten times bigger and they still won't leave Twitter. I would be happy to respond to those personalities in that manner, but I won't go to Twitter to do it.
