One of my local bookshops closed and a swanky cafe took its place and despite having the buzz of its 100-capacity patrons they play music too loud to work to, so I don't go there.

Can't have people buy lunch and then after, a pastry and another drink or two. Wouldn't even want to try to have a conversation in there.
