It seems to be that Greta Thunberg et al are just out to get at people, no matter what people do , or politicians do, it is branded not good enough.
If an adult treated a child like that, constantly saying you are useless, not listening and not good enough it would be seen as a form of child abuse (psychological abuse)

@zleap After reading the article I didn't come to the same generalization. It doesn't seem like she, or the others quoted, are just generally trying to get at "us," they seem primarily focused on the COP26 and the politicians in attendance. Unlike children who often have no say, politicians choose to run for office, and they choose to take their respective oaths of office before starting the job. Anyone who takes an oath to perform the duties of a job, then deliberately fails to follow through in pursuit of other concerns, deserves every bit of mockery and derision I can heap upon them. We can argue whether politicians should be focusing on climate or some other issue. They are correct, though, that no single leader nor group of world leaders has ever really followed through on the grandstanding they do at these meetings.
