When communicating with younger developers on my team at work, I've noticed myself using the term "directories" while the younger folks use "folders". Am I making myself sound like an old fogey by calling them directories?

I was talking to a younger software developer who matter-of-factly asked me: "how does a tablet store stuff if it doesn't have files?"
It took me a long time to come to terms with how we could go from a conversation about Python to ... how files work.
