KiCad 7's PDF plotting is pretty awesome... depending on the reader you use.
@mmu_man It’s still better than a bitmap. At least things are properly searchable.
@baldengineer wonder if it's possible with SVG as well… in theory you could use CSS in them, and have things shown o mouse hover…
@baldengineer seems to be a separate issue, JS is already partially implemented:

@baldengineer oh, it's JS stuff… not even sure it's part of the normalized PDF standard.
Sadly I don't think any Linux PDF viewer handle that yet. (and some official French administration forms use this without care about Linux users but eh)
