For reasons unknown to me my faculty set up a velvet rope for the fun orientation week lecture I gave to incoming undergrads. The other lecture going on at the same time didn't get a velvet rope. My lecture was about crazy high end T. rex sales, T. rex crime, and the law...maybe they wanted my talk to feel as elite as the T. Rex market??

Important takeaway...I now know my faculty has a velvet rope, and I'm gunna use it. #academicchatter #academia
