@1dalm I would say mostly #documentaries and videos related to #knowledge whether that be from the #sciences or the #humanities.
You would probably like Nebula.
@1dalm Thank you. I have had a cursory look at the site and it looks like what I was after.
Could have a look at peer tube, it is decentralised so depending on interest there may be a specific instance with the content you are looking for
@zleap I did have a look at Peertube but could not really find what I was looking for with ease.
it is not easy I will give you that, anything specific you are looking for and we can try and help
I will tag
in to see if they can also help
I am on https://diode.zone/ which is more science / tech related, if that helps
not sure about documentaries but lets see what the community can help with
If you are concerned about privacy, you could play YouTube videos through alternative front ends such as https://invidious.io/
But yes, in the meantime we need more content on YouTube
@bibliolater
It depends. Sometimes YouTube is the only way. Also Vimeo, peertube, nebula, twitch, curiosity stream. Depends on what you are looking for and budget.
@bibliolater
What kinds of videos do you enjoy?
