Jumping down the #obsidianmd rabbit hole. I love what I'm seeing! Any recos for beginners? Using it for writing articles, blog posts, outlines, and some content planning.
@trinsec Thanks for the reco. I'm so new I don't even know how to add custom plugins! I'm adding stuff as I need, which is one piece of advice that makes sense to me.
@birv2 That's actually the sane approach, yeah. After a while of using the software you'll get a better idea of what features you'd like to add.

I can only advise you to use the Zettelkasten methods. I myself have only recently switched to obsidian (I use it for my personal card index). The creepy times of zim-wiki, ms notepad and doc files are a thing of the past for me.
@stdKznFU Thanks for the reply. I've never used Zettelkasten but have the impression it's for taking notes. Is it useful for creating contect -- blog posts, articles, etc.?
@birv2 First of all, this will help in organizing all your ideas, will allow you to create links between ideas (cross-references and hashtags).

His videos helped me a lot to get started and get the idea behind a #PKM system like #obsidianMd.
Mike Schmitz from "The Sweet Setup" also has a lot of great videos for Obsidian beginners.

@birv2 I can _highly_ recommend utilizing YAML (frontmatter) to categorize notes and such. That'll be very useful in the long term. It might seem a bit pointless at first, but once you get around to the Dataview even-deeper-rabbit-hole, you'll be glad you did.
