crazy how we've just accepted that we'll need to wear earplugs at shows for the rest of our life instead of addressing the fact that shows are just too loud

@bcrypt it's bothered me to no end that every event I've gone to has super loud music
I'm 26, but have had my ears ringing for a little over a decade now because of a random loss of hearing (unrelated to noise, but equivalent). It's annoying as hell to need a hearing aide in order to understand people at a crowded restaurant. I can get by, but point being that if you have the choice it's a hell of a lot better to just wear earplugs (or turn the damn music down!)
