i kind of like how #signal is being finally criticized. i never liked the ego of moxie and his opinions that
- federation is dead
- disallowing 3rd party clients is good
- that the choice of telephone numbers as identifier is ok and doesn't make the whole security a LARPing exercise

so, it's a bit weird that the current panic is over a recovery feature which is secure if you use a good passphrase 🤷‍♀️
