.. nobody knows, because it very likely isn't. maybe people assume that it has to be as tight as a freaking pressure bandage.

it works (and has worked for aeons) because after living 9 months in a small space it's frightening babies if there are no boundaries. people seem to prefer if the child wakes up all the time because of moro reflex 🤷‍♀️
