I thought this was sarcasm at first, but apparently it wasn't. :blobcatjoy:

That's the funny thing about conspiracy theorists: since they believe all sorts of weird crap, they will also look back and say "yup, see, I was right about that prediction" based on completely false information.

Take for instance the coofspiracy theorists in my family. Their major predictions here in Germany came out entirely wrong:

- MRNA vaccines didn't cause a massive wave of death and illness

- Vaccination didn't become mandatory

- Restrictions on society are loosening with time, not tightening

And yet:

- They cherry pick questionable tales from their social circles about how this and that person suffered from something a while after getting vaccinated, which "proves" them right in their mind

- Although vaccination wasn't mandated, they'll just shift the goalposts and say "but we're discriminated against for not being vaccinated"

- They probably still wait for the Big Moment where totalitarianism will set in because COVID isn't entirely over yet...

@taylan

the difference is that the "conspiracy theorists" don't pose a threat to anyone. they just want to be left the fuck alone with bullshit infringing on their basic freedoms.

we were one successful "vote" in the reichstag building away from a mandatory vaccination for the whole population with multiple thousand euros fine. don't act like if it was just a remote possibility.

it is reality for the people in healthcare.

germany started to fuck with other peoples lives because they don't get injected with something. it's fascism again. there is no excuse.

all people defending how the government acts are a threat to me.
