@atyh @splitshockvirus @alcade
@bonifartius @p Sorry for the group tagging out of nowhere.
Before I recklessly keep posting stuff, I want to hear why do you people prefer to stay anonymous.
I can only see two reasons:
1- (Including righteous) illegal activity.
2- Going against not only the mainstream thought, but almost everyone's.

I see absolutely no illegal activity in your accounts, so that's dismissed.
I also see that none of you have over-the-top extreme takes or activity either. Sure, from what I know, none of you go with the mainstream narrative but I also see no extremism in controversial topics in your interactions either.

Not being anonymous has its benefits. People see another genuine person, so they feel a more familiar and friendly vibe from you, it strengthens others' interest. It also shows your confidence over your activity.

Disclaimer: I am not asking you to reveal your identities nor criticizing you for not doing so. This is purely for me to see, learn and understand a perspective that I believe I do not have.

Also note that this isn't about privacy. This is about not connecting your online presence to your identity.

@Pixificial @p @atyh @splitshockvirus @alcade point two pretty much nails it down. the last two years here in germany did really open my eyes to how the overwhelming majority of people will act if confronted by propaganda.

at one point the majority (>50%) wanted to inject me with something against my will - of course not by physical force, that wouldn't be "democratic". what people seem to miss is if you make everything verboten and add recurring fines of thousands of euros it's the same as putting a gun against my head.

when i look at the twitter accounts of colleagues i thought of as rational, they now appear as driven by fear and hate now. their minds totally destroyed, no sanity to be found.

so, yeah, point two fits the bill.

i never really had this problem, i have spend so much time on the net that i can attach personal feelings to screen names. for example, i really _miss_ some people who disappear from here.

@bonifartius @p @atyh @splitshockvirus @alcade This is very insightful, thank you. I agree with all you said about the mandatory jab so I will skip that.
From what I understood, you prefer to stay anonymous because you want to fearlessly post what your rationality says to you. You don't want to succumb to fear or hate and keep your honesty.
I don't understand something here. Can't you keep expressing what you think without anonymity? If so, I can think of two reasons. Either you believe that you will subconsciously censor yourself like your friends over Twitter, or you will lose something (maybe friendships that would end if they were to see your opinion?) in real life.
Is that correct? Kindly elaborate.
