Free software is like I'm making dinner for myself, but because there is no scarcity, I can give away infinite copies to everyone and choose out of the kindness of my heart to do so.
If you don't like the taste of it... well, make your own dinner.
If you don't know how to eat with a knife and fork... I'm not obliged to teach you how to eat it.
If it lacks pepper, maybe you can just add it at the table.
If you're nice about it, and ask me very kindly, perhaps I'll add some things to it that you like, but if you're rude about it you're lucky that you still get your plate.
And if a professional kitchen comes in and takes my dish and adds a little spice or repackages it and wants to charge full price without giving me a dime, that's where copyleft means I'll not tolerate that.
