Part of why the Russia stans annoy me is because either they’re sticking their head in the sand and refusing to acknowledge Russian brutality, or they’re so ghoulish that they actually find joy in this kind of thing.
Russia is destroying energy infrastructure because it assumes Ukraine can’t do the same. Imagine if Ukraine were given the weapons to strike Russian energy infrastructure and did so. Russia would, as it always does, play the victim and pretend that having their own behavior thrown back in their face is unfair. They’re just so fucking slimy.

@dave
you bomb infrastructure if you want to win a war, that's how it was always done.
it doesn't matter if the public knows, they will not care, just like they didn't with abu ghraib or whatever. nothing will change even if people find out. they don't care or find reasons why they still are on the right side.
@dave you either are at war with someone or you aren't.
the rooks got send to prison, oh my, best cleptocracy i can think of! the "interventions" continued for years after that. why aren't the people allowing these "advanced interrogation techniques" in prison? no, the people who blew the whistle were declared traitors. the people who decided are playing golf right now.
so, in your opinion the total degradation of human beings for shit and giggles isn't more evil or at least as evil as bombing energy infrastructure and even saying you will do so before so civilians have a chance to leave (wait, zelensky draftey them, they can't leave!!!1)?
I will take that as a yes. Or else as an admission that you don’t understand what escalation is.
it doesn’t matter if the public knows, they will not care, just like they didn’t with abu ghraib or whatever.
Except…the public did care. And the soldiers involved were sent to prison. This was my entire point. You presented photos of this scandal like they were equivalent to Russia bombing Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, apparently not understanding that the Russian public is aware of and (at least tacitly) approves of these bombings.
