@ThatCrazyDude that looks better than many commercial patches. what machine do you have?
@bonifartius Husqvarna Viking designer jade 35. But don't be fooled. It only looks that nice (even though I did screw it up) is because that's an applique. The black stuff is just another fabric ;)
@ThatCrazyDude that is more expensive than i expected.. :D
the commercial ones also often use another fabric. i think it adds a nice depth.
@bonifartius well, they aren't exactly cheap, and especially that if you want to do your own designs you're likely to spend even more on software, because it's not like they'll give you full package with the machine, surprise surprise (or you can pirate it, but that's a whole another can of worms), but when you think about it.... I bought this machine for 1000 bucks on a promotion, because my wife's sawing machine crapped out and she was saying she needs one. TBC
@ThatCrazyDude yeah 350 extra for embroidery is a steal. guess i have to wait till the machine we have here breaks xD
@bonifartius well, yeah, I'm sure. The old machine that died on my wife wasn't worth even 500 bucks, I'd say. But when you consider that you can actually sell a cousin with a custom design for over 50 bucks on Etsy if you want, and even today, if it wasn't for this shit, it would prolly cost my wife like 100 bucks to buy something cool for her friend.... It kinda pays for itself, you know. Not to mention that you get 5 years of servicing and customer support ;)
@ThatCrazyDude though it still would be more than the current one, which is a very basic model :)
