I still don't know how schools are permitted to socially or medically transition teenagers without even informing the parents or helping the teenager to inform them first.
@sim Schools, growing from their original purposes of being a place of learning to a place of socalizing, usually have a state-sanctioned child protection services that may be inclined to intervene in a child's personal life. Usually to save them from neglectful, abusive or unhealthy households, often without directly contacting the parents as doing so could potentially cause the case to be close. This is normally fine, I don't think a lot of people will object to the state fostering children away from parents whom beat them senselessly. It just so happens to apply to trans idenitiy... which isn't really seen as legitimate.
@Nelenese A place of socialising? What a joke. It beat that one out of me. Schools should be a place of learning and focus on the skills all children will need to learn as they become adults and go into the workplace. Yeah, having safeguarding for children makes sense, especially from dysfunctional households. But it is a shame that they don't seem to be there to support the family to become healthy, to have conversations in a healthy way and to help mediate them if there are problems.

@sim @Nelenese my schizo theory: dysfunctional households are a product of schools and the state. replacing large multi-generational households with "core family" was a bad idea ™️ invented to press more working capacity out of the population in times of industrialization.
