The argument that "electric cars are the way of the future because they will only be affordable by the elites" is total bullshit once you factor in that basically any EV is a ticking time bomb before it starts spewing toxic gas and then lighting on fire, totally ruining it beyond any ability to repair the damage. EV's aren't some megalomaniacal super plan to make us all take greyhound buses, they're a self masturbatory tech fad, like crypto, the metaverse, and now generative AI, only unlike at least the former 2, Electric Cars still haven't had their full time in the sun yet, they're still toys for rich assholes. Once they start to become any more synonymous, the writing will more than be on the wall, caked on in the scorched remains of their lithium ion batteries.

Alternative fuel, better catalytic converters, and hybrids are the future, not this stupid bullshit.

@Shadowman311 EVs are one step towards population control. I'm sure the goal was always to "phase out" oil and gas vehicles because they're too hard to control.
Of course we know now that EVs will not work on such a massive scale, which makes a lot of their "climate crisis" propaganda worthless.

They will still continue to regulate electronics into cars, and at some point will try to remove all "off the grid" vehicles as soon as they can.

They have been doing this steadily with farming and trucking. That means getting control over the food and distribution network.

💯. how long does a battery hold charge (weeks), vs. how long can you store fuel (almost indefinitely). old diesel ICE can burn almost anything oil, petrol can burn alcohols. charging EV with a rooftop solar panel will likely not work, and if it would the electronics will prevent you fron using the wrong electrons.
@Shadowman311

@bonifartius @Arkana @Shadowman311 You can only really store fuel for about 6 months for petrol and a year for diesel. Stabilisers double that range. This is of course assuming you are storing them in perfect conditions.

@No-Lives_Matter
where does the petrol go? it could maybe evaporate. other than that it's stable.

diesel without preservation fouls, but a bottle of preservation which is enough for 1000L diesel costs about 20€. then it lasts for years.

i wouldn't put that fuel in todays extra high efficiency engines, but i don't see why they should be a problem for simple ICE.

@Arkana @Shadowman311

@bonifartius @Arkana @Shadowman311 It doesn't disappear, it degrades and takes on water from the atmosphere, especially with all the ethanol they adulterate it with. You're probably right on the diesel. I'm only going off a couple google searches I made a few years ago.

@No-Lives_Matter
ah, the ethanol can be a problem indeed! plain petrol stored right should last really long.
