This is a video for all you far left socialist AND for all you far right Nazis... You should all join in celebration, you are all for the same thing...

@niclas brilliant, one could never say these things in germany, again proving the point xD

@bonifartius @niclas "these things" in Germany are mainly stoked by EU politics of migration and subsidizing them for account of local citizens and their taxes. migrants live on subsidies and increase the criminal rates. so this reaction was completely predictable. people got tired of this and see AfD as a solution for this problem. they don't mean anything bad. as people in 1930s didn't mean bad voting for nazis. but wrong politics can cause situations where such players may gain the majority of votes.

i think it isn't even migrants or criminality.

people just want to be left alone again. no vaccine mandates, no masks, not ever rising cost of living because just another tax increase. not killing the economy for bullshit virtue signalling.

_that's_ why most people who vote afd do it imho. remember, merkel got reelected _despite_ the rampant migration around 2015 and the various problems it caused.

if you take away the peoples rights and money _on top of this_, that's where they are getting angry.

i don't like the afd much, they are politicians after all and prone to lie and cheat. i do want to see things mixed up a bit here though. the harder it is to form a stable coalition the better.

historical side note: people voted for the nazis, yes. what made them take over the state were special laws giving them the right to do these things.

that's why everyone panicking here in germany that afd getting significant votes is the end of the so called democracy is full of shit.

even if a party has >66% in the parliament there is still the bundesrat which can block things and finally the president (elected by the bundestag, but in a different rhythm) which also has to sign laws. the federal constitutional court can kill off things as well.

it wouldn't have worked in weimar if they not have given them the power, it's even harder with the current construct.

@bonifartius @niclas hatred breeeds hatred. nazism is not a solution. but who cares? masses go mad, propaganda makes it worse.
I stopped and took a pause to look at this bullshit from the side. what can I do but observe this hell and make notes.

@iron_bug

I managed to stay under the radar of being raided financially for most of my life, but covid pushed that door shut, and probably only a matter of time before I can't avoid it any longer, although I will try.

@bonifartius

@bonifartius @niclas I try my best. sometimes things go harsh. in this country it goes really shitty. we had all the covid limitations and shit that ruined many businesses and left people without work, but no compensations at all. nobody cared. then the mad dictator started the fucking war and again all sanctions hit common people, not those who started the bloody hell. I had a lot of shit in my life, all the time. I could stay tough so it could not break me. my nerves are made of steel, I developed a solid armor towards all kinds of troubles. but I get tired of eternal fight.

Being a programmer is one of the few things left that one is allowed to do without licenses and certifications. How long will that remain? Upgrading my skills in electronics, mechanics and horticulture to prepare myself.

@bonifartius

@bonifartius @niclas being programmer in Russia is pretty shitty nowadays: foreign companies ceased all contracts and work for fascist government and their murder machine is below any moral levels and is inacceptable. not much choise left, actually. after I got fired from foreign companies for doing nothng bad, I looked for a job for a year before I found a good one: with no relations to the terrorist state and with some meaningful work to do (I write realtime multimedia streaming processing). but there's no simple way to buy even a cheap server nowadays. so the shit has not ended. simple things became overly complicated and this increased the usual stress levels we had.

@iron_bug

In case you don't know; Sweden allows people to get 9 months visa for "job searching", and if one finds a job within that time that will be extended to work/residence permit a year or two at a time.

I have a friend from Kyrgyzstan who came here under those conditions.

And I think there is still a reasonably high demand for experienced programmers.
