It's so weird to realize that the type of cars that made me all hyped up as a kid ("tuner cars"), wanting to own cars like that someday... Now make me cringe so damn hard each time I see them. :stallman_thaenkin:

I'd much rather just have a cute little rally car nowadays.

@finlaydag33k or just obscenely large diesel truck out of spite. refit to be seed oil proof, so that i can still drive when there is no more diesel xD

guess i just want to troll people?

@bonifartius I mean, I don't like large cars all that much (they are just a waste of space and energy) but getting an old diesel and retrofitting that does sound interesting yes.

@finlaydag33k for engines without turbocharger it might just requires new tubing. old mercedes diesel engines running on deep frier oil are not unheard of!

@bonifartius Yea, I've seen them.
Tho they often suffer reliability issues atm.

Just imagine driving on old frying oil.... Leaving a scent of deep fried whatever wherever you drive. :gnulightened:

@finlaydag33k i just like diesel engines. with proper care they run forever on almost everything oil. it's very cool technology.

@finlaydag33k and i'm not even a total car nut or mechanic or something. the properties of diesel engines are just fucking cool :)

@bonifartius I don't like diesels that much but they certainly do have their perks.

Personally, my favourite engines are RotaREEEEEEEEEEEE engines but well... *apex seals*. :yay:

@bonifartius They are really nice to drive... It's just that the maintenance is a pain due to the apex seals.

@bonifartius If you ever have the chance, defo take it.
They are so smooth and responsive.
