2 hours until home time!

I can't wait! FedEx better deliver my package during the day.
@bonifartius yeah the damn timetravel package lol

It's back to late now, and once again on some knobs truck.
@bonifartius Oh yeah well I made a stink at fedex to make sure the driver delivered it lol

It's my 3 day weekend and god damnit I will have my toys.

@shebang i wonder if that even would work here in germany.. with some services i'm happy if the packages are not put in the rain xD

absolutely!

@bonifartius If its a Germany company, accuse them of being inefficient, this will shame them deeply and they may try to correct the issue.

@shebang haha :) DHL is fine, but there are some cheap alternatives which just suck. fedex and UPS are fine aswell, but are used rarely.

@bonifartius I find DHL to be really good. UPS is "ok" and FedEx I have continual problems with.

Canada Post ain't bad. They aren't fast, but I never really worry I'll have trouble actually getting my package.

@shebang @bonifartius Interesting. I use #FedEx for work and it’s really good. Sometimes there are missed but it’s like a 1% fail rate for me. #UPS is okay but can be slower than #FedEx (but that could be due to the differences in deals we have with #FedEx vs. our vendors #ITSavvy and #CDWG have with #UPS). #USPS sucks. I can tell why it’s called snail mail.

Incidentally I just got an imported #BluRay from #Germany shipped via #DHL. It wasn’t longer than if expect for a international shipment, it took ten days to get here, but the shipping information was non-existent. I couldn’t even track it myself on the #DHL site. #Amazon didn’t know where it was either and said it would arrive in another week until today, when it was out for delivery 😂

@realcaseyrollins @bonifartius FedEx is really good for Business-to-Business service, its the end-customer service that's the issue.

USPS is a bit strange, but from my Canadian perspective, USPS packages go around a weird tangle of US locations, then suddenly arrive in Ontario where Canada Post takes over. The problem I can see with USPS is that everything seems to have to go to a handful of hub locations whether this is efficient or not.

Sometimes I do see it making sense, international shipments from say China, even FedEx goes China -> Tennessee, US -> Mississauga, Ontario -> Where its meant to be. But this does make some sense because Tennessee is where air traffic goes. The only real issue is why Ontario when the destination location almost certainly can take air traffic.
