@iwillbite@whinge.town What is wrong with you? You don't want to wantonly breed like the animals we are? @scathach@stereophonic.space

@adiz @scathach bringing kids into this world without much consideration isn’t good. Especially when you have 7, probably aren’t giving them the most that you can and should

@iwillbite@whinge.town She home-schools and has an estate in Mexico she's developing and just recently came back to the US temporarily with them but before had like 2 housekeepers and an au pair to help + teachers that would come in. She's got money and she loves being pregnant and being a mom. I guess it's simple as. @scathach@stereophonic.space

@adiz @scathach oh so she’s just rich. That makes sense. It’s either the super poor have a lot or the rich.

@iwillbite @adiz @scathach
It's possible doing it by having enough space and build shacks, expand crops fiel progressively.

@mangeurdenuage @adiz @scathach 😠 WHAT

@iwillbite @adiz @scathach why upset, all I'm saying is that when you have land and you live on it you don't have to be afraid of having not enough space or food, you just adapt progressively.

@mangeurdenuage @adiz @scathach I would not want to live off the grid.

This guy once tried to convince me of it and I told him no thank you

@iwillbite @adiz @scathach How did he tried to convince you ?

@mangeurdenuage @adiz @scathach I met him in a dating app.The topic was brought up where he wanted to live/start a family and he said off the grid somewhere and I was like ???

And then he told me all the good things about it and I wasn’t convinced about the good things

@iwillbite
I see. There some advantage, and disadvantage, it depends on your morals and what you know of the world.
For example if you start to study microbiology like I did you'll freak about about the food you eat and most people won't ever be convinced by what you say.
Anyway, again it depends on your values, some things are universal tho, having to get water from a well or rain teaches anyone the value and importance of water and makes you appreciate modern way of water distribution, etc...
Some families don't necessarily go entirely of grid, just out of a city like for example https://tube.raccoon.quest/watch?v=SUYchs2S_-U

@mangeurdenuage @iwillbite >having to get water from a well or rain teaches anyone the value and importance of water and makes you appreciate modern way of water distribution
My coworker's schizo uncle that tried to live offgrid learned this the hard way. He dumped graywater over his well water source, and shortly thereafter ended up calling the town to hook him up to their sewer lines.

@mrsaturday @iwillbite Water treatment is very difficult when you're offgrid, Except if you just use vinegar and soap you make you can't just dump it anywhere and actually have to build a multi layer pond with specific fauna/flaura.

@mangeurdenuage @mrsaturday @iwillbite i think waste water treatment is criminally underrated in how important it is for almost anything.
