@iron_bug @VD15 @applejack interesting, in german this use of an adjective or verb wasn't that common but is used more frequently now to form gender-neutral nouns especially for the plural case. like "die Lehrenden" (the teachers) instead of "die Lehrer und Lehrerinnen" (the male and female teachers).

@applejack @iron_bug @VD15

> ик is more nouny while ий is more adjectivy so I think that's why

this sounds fun and i have no fucking clue about slavic languages :D

@freeschool this is about this post:

mastodon.social/@Gargron/10917

i would (remotely!) understand if forks couldn't have the same name.

the idea that you can't have a (sub) domain named "mastodon" which is serving something else than mastodon because of "trademark" is bullshit.

people can name their domains as they please and serve what they please. if i choose to have a domain mastodon.lolcow which serves goatse, i don't see why anyone would have a say but me.

to quote vixie: "the internet is not for sissies". i hate this dumbing down and lawyering of the net. i'm disgusted by it.

eugen moment: first spin it that all the network is called mastodon, then complain when people use that name.

@MK2boogaloo @Gargron @Tech @rysiek brb changing all of FSE's help pages and shit to say we're running mastodon

@Gargron @rysiek@mastodon.technology @Tech@mastodon.technology the timeline where someone tries to dictate what software you can use on your server and your domain.

@MKUltralow @urusan the democracy here in germany is just for fun n giggles, there are no votes which have any influence whatsoever.

latest proof: conservative government decided to end nuclear power, greens decide to continue it despite that being anti nuclear energy is their core-concept since inception.

it's 100% bullshit elections. the only ones where you might have any influence are the county-level elections and the like, but the federal and EU government remove ever more say those regional organs have.

calling the construct we have here democracy is at best a bad joke. it might not be better in the states, but things aren't any better here.

@spinneria @Data
die katze wie sie denkt ist aus dem sack. aber dauerhaft darauf hinweisen darf man ja nicht weil "feindesliste" blabla wies bei passiert ist.

@Hyolobrika @issdeinschnitzel insanity is moving full throttle, not long before wokies will have cozy book burnings again while screaming on top of their lungs about saving humanity. they already say that throwing more weapons into a bullshit war is saving humanity etc. we are at "fucking for virginity" levels of warped perception.

@Hyolobrika @issdeinschnitzel well, this happens when we normalize paintings having soup thrown at them because of woke shit or paintings being destroyed because of NFT shit.

USPOL, EUPOL

@urusan i mean, look what's going on in EU politics, look at the insanely crazy construct the EU is, and then tell me that it is functional democracy.

i might as well go out on a limb here and say that the US has a better functioning democracy, precisely as there is freedom of speech - at least for now.

USPOL, EUPOL

@urusan
> The best thing (much of) the EU has going for it is a largely functional democracy.

lol, lmao

@spinneria @Data ach, heidelinde is halt hoffnungsloser boomer und hat als kind vermutlich noch reichlich dresche bekommen. obs ihr nun jetzt den verstand ein- oder ausgedroschen hat sei dahingestellt.

>ywn live in an era where people thought the future was going to be cool and full of tron aestheics
:marseydepressed:

@Hoss @graf @p i bet all those "calculators" were doing their job fine. probably programmed in ada. now we have nodejs in cars.
the future could have been fucking amazing but someone flipped the switch for clownworld. almost like if we are living in toonstruck now, only that would be more fun.
