@skyblond @freemo @trinsec that's dendrite. i think it's almost feature complete, my trials with a single user instance worked well.

there is no automatic tool to switch to it from synapse though, i don't know if it's planned either.

tbh, i'd like to see voluntaryism at work. might well be a pipe dream, at least it isn't one where the boot on my neck is an inherent requirement.

@danwentzel Authoritarianism and fascism operate independently of capitalism. Capitalism should be recognised as flawed, and that some ways of practicing it are downright insidious, but I'm aware of no other socioeconomic system that has reduced absolute poverty worldwide than capitalism in all its various forms. Capitalism doesn't care for me yet it's the best we have. We should make it work for us, despite its weaknesses, rather than tear everything down to anarchism, and the feudalism that inevitably follows like it did in South Africa not long ago.

@danwentzel Sadly, the ability to co-exist comfortably with democracy or autocracy is not limited to capitalists - it was socialists in Orwell's "1984", and much of the real world.

But the mantra that capitalism would cure all that ails the world was much overblown.

It adds all the features that ever have or will be desired. It fixes all the bugs that ever have or will exist.

I also wrote up an old time blog post regarding various thoughts and experiences over the years.
