Over 1700 shoes from Viking Age or later were recovered from Coppergate, a street in the city centre of York, in England.

Most of the shoes were of "turnshoe" construction meaning that they were molded and stitched inside-out on a wooden last. It's rare for organic materials like leather to last for so long, but the wet, peaty soil at Coppergate helped to preserve organic materials.

I had to explain to one of my children that we had done everything we needed to do today, so it was time to go to sleep so we can do the things we need to do tomorrow.

That actually seems to have worked.

@ThatCrazyDude the plebs just prices the phantastoc taxes in like a law of nature and optimize accordingly.

Slapping more and more taxes on gas, diesel and coal, then subsidizing "renewable" nonsense and then broadcasting how "renewable" is actually more economically viable.
That's what they keep doing and the plebs keeps buying it.... Don't they teach basic math in grade school anymore?...

Here, I've ranted. Now I can have a coffee lol

i still miss my grandma from time to time and it's been ~20 years since she died. can't put my finger on it but i think there is some spiritual connection going on from grandparents to their grandchildren.
