@istvan@noagendasocial.com i wish you a blessed new year as well! i quite enjoy the autistic gemstone obsession as it's something i really know absolutely nothing about :)

google really calls it "festive holidays 2023".

as it should be.

@faab64 note that according to "law" germans up to age 60 can be drafted if germany is attacked.

people might choose they don't want to "fight" in the war. i suspect the high command, correction, our rightfully elected democratic leaders, will just throw those into the meat grinder out of spite. they only will not have their own weapons, so they won't fight. every corpse "saves democracy".

@iron_bug i'd say both exist in very different realms with almost no overlap. explaining natural phenomenon with religion is as futile as explaining the inner workings of the soul and spirituality with science.

from my experience the spiritual component, the beauty of a work of art, can't be explained with science. there might be certain patterns which e.g. do sound nice, they are nothing more than patterns though. the true spirit of a work of art is something else.

the spirituality that touches people sometimes inspiring them to do works and art of great beauty is something different from religious rules invented by men or science.

one who lives rationality as his religion will neither find reason nor spirituality.
