i was just thinking today how it was only in the last maybe eight years that i felt like language was being actively manipulated or exasperated at people playing massive word games or people completely flipping positions within 24 hours when their political masters signaled.

@ThatCrazyDude well frankfurt is a large internet exchange, so it isn't the worst choice :)

@Moon headstamp publishing (firgotten weapons spinoff) was to print a book written by an azov member. got shitstormed over it and cancelled the project hours after announcing it.

fast forward a few months azov are totes the good guys, no nazis found here, no siree!

really, whoever buys any of the official narrative after the last few years has to be philosophical zombie.

Stop saying that the #FSF is "out of touch with reality".

They are not. The fact that they are coming out and bringing up every, seemingly minor violation on our software freedoms shows how much we have let proprietary software use us.

Is it true, that it is impossible to live a modern, convenient life without proprietary garbage? Might be. But while in our lives we go for practical compromises, in our advocacy, we need to keep the best possible outcome in mind.

@ThatCrazyDude i got ~200Mbit/s cable which is ok, only the upload is very shit like 6Mbit/s

Trisquel :trisquel: mini 11 is finally working on a 1999 laptop (ati/amd gpu) with complete functionality :blobmelt:

@ThatCrazyDude@noagendasocial.comthat isn't really more expensive than other internet providers here in germany!

why is a private company creating space waste bad and the various state agencies not? most are bullshit military and spook satellites.

starlink is shit, i hate it, but at least everyone has the chance to use it. just don't expect things for free.

Ivan, an imprisoned anarchist in France, released a public letter last week in which he says that the police managed to break the LUKS encryption on his Linux laptop. The password was longer than 20 characters:

nantes.indymedia.org/posts/873

They had the computer since last summer, so there was enough time to brute force the PW using cloud computing, though it would certainly have been expensive.

This enemy site talks about using up to 10,000 computers with GPU acceleration to attack a LUKS password:

All of which is to say that what constitutes a good password has changed. One guideline is to use seven random words -- easy to remember, hard to force.
