Feels good man.
@IAMAL_PHARIUS pressgangers were a prime target of revenge when soldiers and sailors returned from the napoleonic wars. thousands were murdered in secret in London, Bristol and Kent when the survivors of the Napoleonic wars returned, and not much effort was spent to find their murderers as all hated them.

@McMongoose what prompted me was that i just saw a post of someone on here with some pictures of tomatoes and strawberries tagged as "self-sufficient" and this trend annoys me greatly. the same goes for all the fake-permaculture bullshit. there are people calling using plastic fleece against weeds in their vegetable beds "permaculture".

you are self-sufficient if you harvest enough calories to get you through the winter. that's the definition.

you aren't "self-sufficient" if you grow a bunch of tomatoes or whatever. there's nothing wrong with that. i grow my own vegetables too, it's just a nice thing to do and learn from.

calling it self-sufficiency is just LARPing.

the only ones who can be remotely called self-sufficient are farmers who do the classic pre-industrialized way of farming. those are the few who can actually feed themselves if push comes to shove.

@lupyuen pdk predicted nearly everything dystopic "happening" or rather "done". still people use his (and others) work as manual :)

24 hours of Earth's rotation, with the camera locked to the sky instead of the ground. We're all hanging out on this spinning rock.
