@thatguyoverthere it would be more moral if they just had someone shooting them in the face after answering these questions. they just are putting in some machine as middle men and larp that this absolves them from responsibility.

warum kinder zwingen 45 minuten rumzuhocken? das ist ein wettbewerb in leidensfähigkeit und wer sich am besten anbiedern kann gewinnt - in vorbereitung auf den rest des lebens. das schulsystem indoktriniert zum duckmäuserischen "bürger" der lieber nach unten tritt statt seine eigenen interessen zu verteidigen.

die kinder suchen sich von selbst was sie interessiert und lernen das. wenn dann dafür mathemathik oder lesen notwendig ist, kommt das interesse ganz von selbst. freilernen ist für alle das beste, bei manchen ist es aber ziemlich wahrscheinlich der einzige weg.

@tyil @CapitalB i think there is research about this that it's a very deep rooted fear of exclusion from society if your children behave wrong, i can look for it. so, with a crying child you are already in slight panuc mode. if most of the experiences are bad you expect people to act in bad faith, even when they sincerely offer help. literally the only thing that helps is relentless kindness. which is hard for everyone, as everyone is stressed by shit now.

@tyil @CapitalB well, maybe she saw it as shaming instead of a sincere offer for help? i don't want to insinuate that you asked in a bad way, but communication is flawed :) mothers are under heavy pressure to do things perfectly after all - much of that is in their own minds but still there.

@CapitalB constructively you or any of the 30 passengers could have asked if you may be of any help. maybe it even would have snapped the kid out of it because it's so unexpected now to receive help without it being mandated.

@CapitalB the toddler isn't the problem and this line of thought left us with the shit reality we are living in.
