@auldlangsin all the time. i'm trying to unlearn it, in the end i'm responsible for things and externalizing responsibility doesnt really work.

So I'm a couple of shows back and was listening to the whole wet bulb / dew point discussion. As @Johncdvorak noted the wet bulb is the temperature read on a thermometer with at wet wick of cloth. It gives an indication evaporative cooling. Dew point is the temperature that water will condense out of the air. Fog will form at the dew point. It's a little below the wet bulb until they merge at 100@ relative humidity.
@adam his site gives a good explanation.

@Johncdvorak @adam
Dew point and relative humidity (RH) are important for HVAC and industrial engineering to manage moisture, humidity in the air, drying and preservation of foodstuffs and other things. I worked with moisture sensitive materials for years.
People control their body temperature by sweating (or perspiring if you say you don't sweat) That provides evaporative cooling. If the RH is high evap cooling doesn't work well. At the wet bulb it doesn't work at all.

The people who tell you to censor speech because someone finds it offensive never seem to care about offending you.

@r000t @mangeurdenuage @Moon discord very likely has fallbacks for this. as shit as they are, their technology to get a connection is pretty good.

@Moon for me it was my router doing symmetric nat. at least i myself was to blame for this :) had to setup special rules for every device.

things should just be v6, a whole class of errors would be gone away.

I watched a bit of #BBCNews yesterday morning ...

And when talking about the fires in Greece, they said something like:

Actually, fires have gone down globally due to #deforestation.

And that's like saying:

Rates of #extinction have gone down since all the endangered species have now became extinct.

"A tweet from the account of Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday used language that many observers say evokes the known Nazi hate symbol “1488.”

A post on the candidate’s official Twitter account used the numbers 14 and 88 in close proximity."

The only thing "wide" here is the stretch involved in writing this kind of bullshit "journalism."
