a thing which disappoints me is how fluoridated the hacker community has become. code of conducts, kangaroo courts, witch hunts.
all the woke shit is catering to a psychopath minority and has destroyed any wish for me to go to events or participate in organizations.
the fsf (and gnu) is one of the few still keeping their ideals. meanwhile they are frequently attacked for not being woke enough and not cancelling the right people.

sorry to hear that! i do see psychologists and psychiatrists critically, but some things they do are really good methods. i think cognitive behavioral therapy is a quite good approach without too much fucking with peoples brain.
my mother also would _never_ visit a professional about her problems. i think this generation grew up with big fears of being a nutjob. maybe not without reason regarding lobotomies were a thing.
