just wondered how much gold goes to waste in the covid tests.

@LukeAlmighty the newest retarded euro moment is that you can't completely remove the caps from the package anymore. they stay connected by a flexible strip of plastic. sometimes the whole cap is so flimsy that shit leaks.

the official reason stated on the packages is "for recycling", which is totally idiotic if plastics would really be recycled. caps and bottles are different polymers.

as it all is burnt in the end it doesn't matter much of course :)

at least stuff in glass bottles still has sane caps.

The freedom to run the program as you wish is the very essence of autonomy. It means that you can use the software for any purpose, without seeking someone else's blessing. Your purpose, your vision, is sacrosanct. The developer's intentions are irrelevant in the face of your freedom.

@ariadne @eff EFF: "To put it even more simply: When a person uses a room in a house to engage in illegal or just terrible activity, we don’t call on the electric company to cut off the light and heat to the entire house..."

We do, in fact, do exactly that. We also seize the house, cars, bank accounts, children, and any other property related. Then we require the person, who had their property seized, prove their innocence - by litigation without any resources - to get their wealth back.

@mic92@toot.matereal.eu It's not meant for your laptop, it's use shines in more serious applications. I use it for data which is replicated across several servers, where each server itself has mirrored drives, and a UPS to ensure it does not die suddenly. If you have the right setup, XFS can be great for things like database workloads. If you don't... well, don't fuck around with filesystems if you don't know what you're getting yourself into. Just stick with ext4.

@genmaicha i think i have seen this picture framed somewhere with "stockholm" over or under it.. not exactly sure where it was though! :)
