[this post](techrights.org/n/2023/09/26/Go) by roy schestowitz is spot on:

> THE tendency in some schools is to "prepare adolescent kids for the world" and by the world they mean industry. They then train pupils to become dependent on brands and proprietary products/disservices, sometimes from another country or even another continent. In most cases, both the country and company should be considered hostile. The "tools" being 'taught' (de facto indoctrination) are instruments of occupation and any intrigue boils down to shallow stupidity if not selfishness, even bribery (sometimes the decision-makers are bribed before or after making such decisions on someone else's behalf). Parents can help by intervening; many responsible adults can make sure kids aren't 'taught' to become slaves but instead to become trailblazers. Insist that classrooms offer education to children rather than offer children to corporations.

meanwhile the german "influencer" teacher "bob blume" is suggesting that to teach children goethes faust, they should let their pupils describe what "dr. faust would post as picture on instagram".

the absolute state of germany.

@freemo nice! as i said, not super important. it's a quality of live improvement :)

@freemo yeah, we have unfortunately no idea in which order the recipients are set on the sending servers side.

it's not super important of a feature request. it's just something other servers do which annoys me from time to time :)

@freemo i think we are annoyed by the very same thing :D

> I often get messages like that, without the tags visible and I cant always tell who they respond to.

this is what i mean! the data is there, because when composing a reply the right people are tagged there automatically. it just not renders when _displaying_ a post.

i just wondered if we can get like a small box above the post which shows you the recipients.

@freemo there was a patch for i think soapbox/pleroma a while back which removes the tagging in the message body. (the @freemo etc.)

if you reply to such a message, you get the right tags pre-filled in the the message box.

@freemo do you think it's possible to add a patch to show the tagged people when the post is made on a server which doesn't tag in the text anymore?

#Wayland compositors truly are the future. This particular compositor, #Hyprland, only has a load of 3.2 while doing absolutely nothing! Truly the epitome of computing!

@nexus_plasma das ist ganz klar wetter und kein klima, steht da doch!

klingt alles in allem danach durch "müssen wir weiter beobachten!!1" die eigene existenz zu rechtfertigen :)

I think it's funny how much everyone was freaking put about energy utilization wrt block chain technologies, but environmental concerns over ai are nil even though even more energy is likely to be consumed by it.
NEW - Michelle Obama to rake in a whopping €700,000 for a one-hour lecture on "inclusion and diversity" in Munich.

@niclas @lelouchebag yeah, a while back i believed all the stuff about permissive licenses being "cool" and free licenses being "bad" because they "limit freedom".

which is of course utter bullshit, nobody is forced to do a contract with me.

nearly all the projects and people who were influential for me are proper free licenses. so the most permissive license i now use is MPL2, but usually it's A?GPL3.
