When people tell you to "learn economics 101" they mostly just mean you should learn to rationalize massive amounts of human suffering in kind of a Calvinist sense, as they have

YOU TRUSTED THE GUY TRYING TO LEAVE THE PLANET AND YOU BEHIND ON SAID PLANET

This is a boneyard near Paris, France with hundreds of electric powered cars. Mind you these are only cars used by the City of Paris and not personal vehicles.

All of these have the same issue: the battery storage cells have given out and need replaced. Why not just replace them you ask? Well two reasons. First the battery storage cells cost almost double what the vehicle cost new, and second no landfill or disposals will allow the batteries to be disposed of there.

So these green fairy tale electric cars are all sitting in vacant lots while their batteries drain toxins into the ground.

Still think we need to go green?

The 6 points of advice I have given to many people in my life are pretty much what I distilled from baz Luhrman's speech (my last post). This is basically the advice that has stuck with me from that:

1) Do one thing every day that scares you
2) Don't be reckless with other people's hearts; don't put up with people who are reckless with yours
3) Sing every chance you get
4) Never let distance be a barrier, travel!
5) Never expect anyone or anything to financially support you
6) Be critical of advice you receive, but be patient and kind to those who give it.

i might actually end up renting a kimsufi server with how shitty the prices of everybody else are. :blobconfused:

Some days I have a hard time focusing on doing anything productive because I'm overwhelmed by how all the visible evidence points to almost all world's policy and decision makers being totally inept and/or corrupt.

"This is the reality of the fully commercialized mainstream internet: our exposure to an indigestible mass of shortest-form opinions that are purposefully selected by algorithms to agitate us on platforms that are designed to record and memorialize our most agitated, reflexive responses."

"The products of the irreconcilable differences this process produces ... cost us was the very foundation of civil society: tolerance."

Wow, a one person effort to port #HaikuOS to RISC-V is well underway and already booting to the desktop on Tinyemu. This is awesome: discuss.haiku-os.org/t/my-haik
