public schooling is actually the root of all modern evils
1. humans are not born with different sizes of SSD for memory, but have a flexible recall facility that can be optimized for type, detail, and length of recall of information. I can tell you everything about various programming languages but please don't ask me about people's birthdays.
2. but that facility still varies in capability. If you don't have much of it, then being asked to remember every phone number in the phone book may leave you unable to remember much else.
3. this variance in capability is invisible. Does the child have a bad memory or does the child just care much more about remembering details about his favorite MMO? You can't tell how much you're pushing people to remember something, or what it's costing them to try to remember it
4. schooling forces people to remember a host of random details for a short period of time and then after a test purge those memories as never relevant ever again. For some this is a trivial task. I'd finish memory-based tests in minuets and then wonder wtf everyone else was still sitting there for. Why are you wracking your brain about question #5? If you don't remember it immediately, what's going to change in five minutes? For those people still sitting down, this task is so hard that it warps their memory, making it only good for purge-after-the-test very short term recall.
Schooling breaks your brain and leaves you especially susceptible to propaganda, where you just never remember that last month's hype (TWO THOUSAND TANKS) has not come to anything. Where even heelturns like "Wagner freedom fighters -> Wagner terrorists" do not strike you as odd, because you don't remember the contradiction. The test is only going to be on the current facts, anyway!

Imagine having to study whether babies are conscious. Yes, they are. SMFH. 😒

>it's highly abnormal to be so hot for so long
People have red fish level of memories and have been parroting what the tv says, we had a lot worse in the past with a lot more drought.
People already forgot that we had tons of water at the beginning of the year. But that doesn't matter because tv said that the water reserves are low.

I don't say there isn't a change, but people shouldn't have to watch tv to know if it's raining or not outside of their house. And not littering isn't about climate it's about common sense and health.

If people want to start to solve pollution issue first look at who manufacture their obsolete programed hardware and who manufacture the poisons that are spread on croplands.

My dear friend Mary Monkman has been missing since Friday 16th. She traveled from Kendal, Cumbria to Loch Doon in Ayrshire where her car was found. Please boost this if you see it and if you have any information (check your camera roll if you were at Loch Doon on the 16th!) contact Police Scotland Ayrshire or dial 101.

How unsurprising. Now lets see the studies on how contraceptive pills increase the risk of cancer and lower fertility after stopping the pill. Don't think they ever will though.
