At a fair in Pomaire, Chile, found a Hatsune Miku, a bunch of watermelons and a porknion cc @Moon

Some people these days are just too judgemental.

I can tell just by looking at them.

@Moon@shitposter.club

then humanity is already done.

To be fair, they argue that too.
It's a weird doomsday cult that just happens to serve the interests of the industry they work in at the expense of everyone else.

Any OS/2 users here?

Yes, the OS/2 operating system - OS/2 Warp 4.52 to be precise.

Well, we have ScummVM 2.8.0 for it now.

I don't believe in intrinsic value but I highly value kindness because it's how I want to live.

The average age of a soldier in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is 43 and rising, as Zelensky criminal regime continues to exterminate an entire generation of men in the name of money and his Western pimps.

Nature's Driveby

Thanks to a suggestion from @onan I ended up spending some time yesterday scrolling through the black film archive, and specifically their films from the 1910s and 1920s.

I have seen many (though certainly not all!) of the listed films from the 1920s and 1930s, but I had missed the 1910s selections.

What they present from the 1910s is god damn heartbreaking. Beautiful cinematography, lavish title cards, interesting plots, all marred by an almost impenetrable haze of celluloid degradation that makes it nearly impossible to watch.

It's not the same as what Ukraine are going through, i.e. being dragged off the street and killed en masse, but we're still suffering because of this pointless meaningless conflict.

I've never heard a satisfying explanation for why Britain's ruling class is so fanatically hostile to Russia. The way I see it we lose nothing by being friends with Russia, and have nothing to gain by being enemies with them. The mainstream "neoliberal" consensus on muh economy would even be preferable if that's what they actually believed, but they don't, they believe in sanctioning potential trade partners and driving energy costs up while kill thousands of business for zero tangible benefit whatsoever.

I assume this is just the modern follow up to "Research: The Growing Inequality of Who Gets To Work In An Air Conditioned Office" that was published in the IBEW newsletter 50 years ago. "It's not fair how come their jobs aren't manual labor in the hot sun"

Wenn es keine Zufälle gäbe, müsste man sie erfinden.

@lain >Of the Germans he wrote: "They are distinctly bored with the war.... In fact, one of them wanted to know what on earth we were doing here fighting them." The truce in that sector continued into Boxing Day; he commented about the Germans, "The beggars simply disregard all our warnings to get down from off their parapet, so things are at a deadlock. We can't shoot them in cold blood.... I cannot see how we can get them to return to business."[23]
stupid Germans didn't want the party to end
