If more people cared about intellectual freedom as much as librarians do, the world would be better for it.

Never encountered someone online so grotesque before, I do have to ask my spinster mutuals whom I do care about very much and consider reasonable (@Jar@spinster.xyz @juneseed among many others) if they are okay with this being with their ideology. This was because I'm anti-porn by the way and criticised women who support pornhub.

People like this is why I think feminism is at it's core a detrimental and misogynistic movement, they are a dime a dozen. For every decent one I meet that is genuinely just concerned about keeping single sex spaces, stopping the porn industry, all the stuff that matters, there are ones who call mothers jizzrags, and degrade their babies, their families, and say vulgar things about their pregnancy.

I know that there are vile people in every movement so it might be frustrating for me to bring this up, but I've seen one to many that really make me believe that the right wing is far more kinder and safer for women than... well this (pic related)

Perhaps I am just hormonal due to the pregnancy itself but this genuinely made me sick to my stomach, it hurt, it felt no different to my sexual abuser telling me I was a whore who deserved what he did, but it was in a way worse because it brought my infant child into it when I was freshly so happy about the news and she twisted that, and I really do ask for you regardless of political differences if that makes you think or not? The anti-family side of your movement, the people amongst you who want to see my family destroyed, to see me destroyed, and to see me broken. Because they exist.

also i've been working on a markdown replacement. simpler syntax, much more capable, ref impl is written in lua (no external dependencies beyond the interpreter tho), has an actual (if still very rough) spec, very compact and extensible, comes with freedesktop integration (double-click on a *.ct file and it'll render and open in your browser). it generates pages like the attached and the page generator is very configurable (accent colors, light-on-dark, page width, etc)

it's nowhere near finished (i'm planning to add at least groff support in addition to html, so it can be used to make pdfs, ideally also postscript), but it's already pretty usable as-is. has most of markdown's features (except blockquotes, working on those) and many more besides. i'll probably have the spec fully implemented in a few days

i'm writing this primarily for my own use, to replace the godawful perl script with its hand-implemented markdown-oid that i currently use to render story chapters for http://ʞ.cc but if anyone else is interested, i hope i'll be more broadly useful as well. and suggestions

It starts with the Government forcing you to get a shot every 6 months because you are "endangering other people being out unvaxxed" and it ends with the government forcibly sterilizing you because if you have kids it will "endanger the community by resource strain" and forcing you to take SSRIs because you "endanger everyone around you when you're upset"
