Tinfoil hat aside, @bonifartius, I live in a place where vehicles are only facilitation, not precondition for transportation, i.e. walking is tiring but it doesn’t kill people. I can’t imagine if one has to fully rely on the electric grid if e.g. temperature can regularly drop below -20, especially outside of urban area. And in 1st world who needs a car in urban area anyway.

IMHO electric cars are a huge waste of resources, especially for the batteries which are ironically not (even close to fully) recyclable. If they can cut down personal vehicles in urban area they can solve both environmental and traffic issues, but I’ll put the hat back on and say the multi-trillion-dollar car industry are bribing^Wlobbying hard against that.

EVs are like paper straws, they are still as profitable while maintaining a better image, but end up in the landfill anyway. Well at least the straws don’t have backdoor and planned obsolescence builtin.

So my country has now put a law that forces certain places to require showing a proof of vaccination in order to enter. Well, this morning I tried going into one of them, couldn't since I'm not vaccinated, went out for like 5 minutes while downloading a fake digital vaccine-thingy and overwriting it with my basic info, then came back to the establishment and showed it.

They let me in. Turns out the employees at the door are underpaid wagies that aren't remunerated enough to give half a shit of what goes in or out of the place, so they just half-assedly look at whatever you show them and so long as it seems to have official-looking logos, some kinda-legit looking text in uppercase, and some random QR code they say "alright, come in".

I'm kinda pissed because I wasted 4 minutes falsifying information when I could have just showed the fake vaccine proof with random data. And well, from now on I'll be relying on my fellow countrymen's mediocrity and half-assed labor in order to go by without getting the mark of the beast.
