i think one of my least favorite developments of contemporary internet culture is the concept of a "video tutorial"

How the fuck can canuckistanis give up their guns like a year after the government tried to delete citizens from banking without trial because they supported a fucking protest!?

i miss the cd rom era when you could plug in a disc and just get random weirdness that you click through. maybe a dancing bear who sings songs. maybe some myst thing with a dark cyberpunk future. maybe a monthly “magazine” about how angsty gen x feels about the world

kids and guns are iffy for me. We always had them growing up and were taught proper respect and handling. But some kids just aren't ever going to be responsible enough to have a gun in the house unsecured. And you don't necessarily know, the kid you think you could trust surprises you and does something stupid. Kids are stupid.

Take your kids hunting and target shooting, teach them firearm safety and responsibility, but probably keep the guns locked up when not in use. Hiding a handgun is not good enough, your kid will find it.

it's quite interesting how people by calling russians "orcs" and the like are becoming the thing they fear the most. all without noticing.

What is the best thing about living in Switzerland? Well, the flag is a big plus.
