i am not really sure who of you spoke about made in abyss but season two hit me hard emotionally. it's a fest of dark psychological themes. feels like a slowly twisted knife of beauty.

People like hachi just want a world system where they are at the top of the hierarchy, and they aren't even self-aware enough to admit that.
I respect an outright tyrant more than a well-meaning dictator because at least the tyrant is honest about their intentions. The tyrant responds sensibly to deterrents because they are acting in self-interest. I've ranted elsewhere about why I feel that SBF is *worse* than your typical scammer because he was motivated by Effective Altruism.

This is extremely poor geopolitical strategy. If you make it impossible for your enemy to retreat, then he will have no choice but to attack.

die "kleber" blockieren aktiv - auch rettungsfahrzeuge obschon da alle möglichen ausreden gesucht werden - irgendwo im bereich nötigung ist es am ende aber immer. lebensmittel gegen kunstwerke werfen ist irgendwo zwischen absurd und bösartig.
sogenannte "ungeimpfte" haben _höchstens_ sich selbst gefährdet. trotzdem war vor einem jahr die mehrheit der gesellschaft für hohe strafen (oder am besten gleich kinder wegnehmen und ab ins lager, äh, beugehaft!) für nicht erfolgte medizinische behandlungen.
die maßstäbe in dieser gesellschaft sind komplett verdreht.
irgendwelche moralischen anhöhen kann bei der letzten generation sicherlich niemand beanspruchen. bei der letzten generation herrscht die wahre wohlstandsverwahllosung die anderen in jüngerer vergangenheit vorgeworfen wurde.

No, the Abyss is the world of dramatic distortions, the wild, wilful telling of untruths and the participation in these lies done by hundreds of thousands of people for fifteen seconds of attention which continues on social media and in wider public life every day.
To a human who values truth and honesty, this is a terrible thing to see.
