I expect that #qoto here will federate with the #Meta servers, as it federates with just about everyone short of CSA or active DoS attacks. And that's fine with me.
On the other hand, I'm very sympathetic to those who decide otherwise, and are unwilling to federate with the Meta servers on the basis that Meta has a history of being evil, and are almost certainly up to something undesirable. So their not-federating is also fine with me.
One of the great things about the #fediverse is that different servers have different policies! There's no need to talk everyone else into being the same...

To let eqch user decide for themselves if they wqnt their qccoubt seen by meta or not. Users can block the whole server when it goes live.

It all seems very fuzzy so far. I gather that #meta has a thing called #project92 which is their #activitypub thing, and that there was a meeting where various #fediverse bigwigs were involved UNDER NDA, which understandably has some people worried.
There is a rumor that Project92 is using threads.instagram.com and threads.net, but I don't know if it's true or where it started.

@ceoln if you go to these two domains, you'll see "Barcelona" in the title but you get an error : sorry this page isn't available... But DNS lead to Facebook servers.

@ceoln considering the amount of shit people are making up right now it might have started in multiple places at the same time...
