I've changed quite a few parts on joinmastodon.org/servers today in response to the feedback from the past week. In detail:

You can now filter by region, type of legal entity, and sign-up speed. Added note about why the topics filter exists. Changed tagline.

"Get on waitlist" has become "Apply for an account" for servers that manually review new sign-ups. Removed total user count from cards.

Lots of Mastodon instances are struggling with the heavy influx of users. Twitter was the same in the early days. The Fail Whale, was something you’d see on a regular basis. Gives it a chance, things will get better.

10. @DavidSacks@twitter.com responds. He still doesn't understand that using a Twitter account to parody someone is not "identity theft."

I know this is not a new thought for any/every parent, but: One of my favorite things about being a parent is introducing my kids to the things about life that I love, while also watching them discover some of those very things on their own.

The feeling never gets old.

The influx of users will continue at an alarming rate. Remember to be welcoming, and kind, and positive, and helpful.

I’ve never done #nanowrimo and I doubt I ever will. Timeboxed art activities always leave me feeling absolutely miserable and I don’t even get anything usable out of them. More power to you if it works for you of course. Maybe I just don’t handle stress well.
