Seeing the tired "#design vs #UX" desire path meme pop up again. Let me explain why it's a bad analogy.
The "designed" path is paved. 100x more people might walk across that path every day, and we wouldn't know it because it doesn't wear down. The "metrics" available to us skew our perception.
If we use "pave the desire paths" as our only guiding principle for #UXDesign, we will spend all our time laying pavement and end up with no grass.

I think for me to abandon Twitter entirely, I'd need more official media orgs (e..g Sky, BBC, CNN) on here, more journalists because I get a lot of my news from Twitter (esp breaking news).
Also more official bodies (e.g. UKHSA, ONS) so I can see when new official research & stats are released on e.g. Covid, the economy, etc.
And finally academic journals (e.g. BMJ, Lancet, NEJM) who I rely on for latest health research!
Will they come?

Yann LeCun keeps on repeating that Facebook has figured out content moderation and that multi-lingual large language models have made everything better. It wasn't figured out during the Rohingya genocide but its all good now. And I just can't control my anger seeing our communities decimated and what is happening on Facebook and how they don't do anything. And here is their chief scientist with the audacity to repeat this over and over again while we're seeing #TigrayGenocide.

Not for favourites or boosts, as far as I can tell.
If you have the "Reflect the following status on the follow button" checked on https://qoto.org/settings/preferences/other , a green icon shows up on the right corner for Follow notifications. You can also have "Show follow button on timeline" checked on the same page, then it shows the same status icon on Reply notifications and in your other timelines as well.
I don't know of a way to show that for favs and boosts though, without going to their profile.

Just go to a person's profile, click the three dots you should see in most apps/platforms that is usually in the top corner of the profile, and block!
