We are a collective of #artificialintelligence researchers based at Imperial College London. We focus on autonomous agent learning and reasoning with special attention to #reinforcementlearning

So, with a bunch of new followers, maybe it's time to do another introduction. I've seen other people do that, I think?

I'm currently an instructor (not tenure track) at a university with a sizeable (~550 undergrads) serious security program. Until recently, I was in academic leadership, overseeing our undergrad program as we revamped our first-year programming/IT curriculum, added required coursework in exploit development/reverse engineering, added a slew of new electives, and reupped our NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (NSA CAE-CDE) designation. I know *way* too much about curriculum structure.

My students usually end up doing work that's way more interesting than what I do. I do get out in the field occasionally through our "applied research" [consulting] lab, though.

Thankfully, I've just rotated back to being just regular teaching faculty again. My choice - there's a reason academic leadership usually has planned rotations. I teach assorted courses in penetration testing, application security (web/mobile/classic), and malware (both reversing and development). I also dabble in DevOps-y stuff and cloud systems.

I'll occasionally tweet.. wait..toot about other things. I started off in AI/CogSci before moving into InfoSec. I desperately miss teaching compiler construction and language theory. I do research when I have the time. Industry research, not academic research.

I've been tidying up and generally brightening the outputs of the algorithm. I have a bad habit of letting my colours/palette become quite dark & muted, so I wanted to do the complete opposite here!

I'm still going to spend more time refining the colours, but I like the generally chaotic clashes that are happening now...
