Happy 2nd night of Chanukah. #Mazeldon #jewdiverse #hanukkah

Who should be president of the world?

**I will abide by the results of this poll

Antisemitism promotes extremism that hurts. Here's what you can do:
•Talk about Religious tolerance with friends & family
•Learn to recognize antisemitic tropes
•Connect with anti-hate groups
•Report incidents

I took naturally to mastodon as my house was already full of elephants. They live in my bookcases reading.

Ganesha is the god of knowledge and wisdom and the overcomer of obstacles. He is the elephant in my room.

Remember - there’s no algorithm here. Favs are nice but boosts are useful. Boost more than you did on Twitter.

Hey! You!

Yes, you there! Person on #Mastodon in the #fediverse who is reading this! Stop scrolling for a sec!

I have an urgent message for you!

You are awesome!

Ok, you can resume scrolling now!

4 #climate scientists were asked by @TheConversationAfrica for reasons to feel hopeful going into 2023.

Here's one view:
"Finally, it’s encouraging to see social movements, particularly among the youth, taking action on #climatechange. These social movements, including indigenous peoples’ alliances, have self-organised across all regions without discrimination of faith, race, colour, age, gender, ideology, or education and have become the guardians of the future."

Hey everyone. Just a reminder that you don't have to put up with bullying, shaming or guilt-tripping, just because it is Christmas.

If you don't want to see those relatives, you don't have to.

If you don't want to cook a huge dinner you don't have to.

If you don't feel like celebrating, you don't have to.

And don't let Christmas adverts bully you into being anxious. They just want your money, they don't care about your wellbeing.

Christmas is just one day. Be true to yourselves and put your mental and physical health first.

"Public hearing on the only burn pit allowed in the United States gets heated"

This is *enraging* to me... It's a 🤬ing burn pit for MUNITIONS but it's in a predominantly Black town in Louisiana so 🤷

If Biden wants these pits investigated and shut down overseas, why the hell is this one allowed to stay?

And if you don't know the historical backstory with Colfax, LA, look it up. Props to Lt. Gen. Honore for showing up and taking folks to task. #Louisiana

Anyway I have a book coming out in early 2024 and if you can’t stand the thought of me talking about it with links to buy it, unfollow me now because you are gonna be getting that as the date draws nearer

Yes this was all a sneaky promotion thread, I TRICKED YOU *smokebomb*

I want to thank everyone who posts to #Mosstodon - such an awesome hashtag (and dangerous time suck)! 🥰 Here's my moss-related art: moss sporophytes I spotted while hiking in Denali National Park, Alaska. SO C👀L!
