SFMTA started going around and covering up the "Local Traffic Only" section of all the #SlowStreets signs without replacing them, so we improved the messaging a little :)
Slow Streets only work when cars can't use them as cut through shortcuts. Next we need actual concrete diverters so through traffic is physically impossible. In order of priority: concrete >>>>> signs >>> only laws >>>>>> camera/police enforcement 🤮
So #midjourney bans the word "sexy".
But this works "rubens, renaissance painting, aphrodite, full length, diaphanous, oil on canvas, ornate frame".

One of the things about election security is that there's no shortage of well-intentioned people who don't understand that they're engineering a complex system with multiple design requirements and non-obvious failure modes. They think "I can solve this one problem with X", without realizing that X introduces 2 new problems.
I'd fallen for, and helped spread, what I now realize was a myth about quote tweets: That there's almost no research on them. Big mistake! Now rectified.
Here's my new post, digging into more than 30 studies with data on quote tweets. They don't settle all the questions. But there are answers, or at least partial ones, to most. It's still complicated, though.
It's a * very * long read, but there are summary points ....1/2

Mistodon: #JasonVoorhees, the subject of this Horsenburger #teletext portrait, wants to wish everyone a very special #FridayThe13th in the closest and most personal way possible, so if anyone would like to swing by Camp Crystal Lake he's looking forward to guests joining in the festivities with him. This piece, depicting him unmasked as seen in #FridayThe13thPartVII, was included in the Halloweeny MIST1017 artpack collection released six years ago.
